The Great Flood of 2006
The 2006 storm season has been very mild, much  milder than the experts had predicted. But one lone Tropical Storm named Ernesto managed to leave it's mark on the Buckingham Central. The following photo's were taken by Bruce Raykiewicz a few days after the storm had passed. The flooding is a result of the run-off from a neighboring county I added photo's of the same areas taken during dryer conditions, for comparison. We are happy to report that Pete and Bruce's trackwork held up great with no major repairs needed.
These photos were taken from opposite directions of the same section of track in the "Lewis & Clark" section.
Here is the S curve. You can see the height of the roadbed. The water in this area was over a foot deep.
These photos were taken from opposite directions of the same section of track on the south side of the property.
These photos were taken from opposite directions of the same section of track on the north side of the property.
This is part of the "Lewis & Clark" section, just after coming off the "Bobby Timson" bridge.
