| By April of 2007, work has steadily progressed. The stream has been crossed and the desending grade has been started. At this rate we should be done before the new year. 1) Crossing the main line near the car barn lead. We made provisions for a second main to be added later. 2) This shot was taken from the now dry stream bed looking back towards the finished portion of the trestle. 3) Here is Ron standing in the dry stream bed reaching up to the new bridge being built by Pete. It won't be long before this stream will be full of water. 4) Bruce standing on the new portion looking from the cmpleted section. 5) Here you can see the double stringers that will support the rails. Pete didn't want to harm any Oak trees so the track curves around it. |

On this day the first train to make a complete trip over the trestle was accomplished by Bruce with some guests. The last bit of track on grade to tie in the main is yet to be done. 1) Bruce easing the train down grade across the last section of trestle 2) This photo shows the easy 1.5% grade . 3) The last section to be done to tie in to the main. We're almost there. 4) Looking back up-grade showing off the eassy grade and transitions. |
