On March 28th, the Buckingham Central was the scene of some great live steam action. Ray Heaton III  arrived from Illinois with his 2-4-0 Raritan and his 2-6-0 Mogul. he was assisted by Andrew Habasevich . We also had the pleasure of Duncan Herring of South Carolina  who brought not only his superbly detailed Pacific, but also his GE Dash 8-C40 Diesel. Duncan is the owner of Backyard Engineer the makers of the well built and detailed  diesel.  A great time was had by all, running steam until it was very dark. In addition, Bob Dean had his 2-8-0 Consolidation fired up as well as Bruce and Brian with theirs. All in all it was a very busy mainline.
The steaming bays had a work out. We got that third one installed just in time. From right to left were Pete's Mohawk, Duncans Pacific and Ray's Raritan and Mogul. Not shown here is bruce's Atlantic and Brians 0-4-0 which were already on the line when I arrived, and Bob Deans Consolidation which had already been blown down and trailered.
Here Ron Apt is giving Bob Dean a quick lesson on running Duncan's Dash 8 C40, this machine is awesome and very easy to run. Everyone present had ample opportunity to run it. Now if I can only figure out a way to get Santa to get me one for Christmas.............
